ALBUM THREE

This album is about our concept or conceptual form of ”The Natural”.

We think of naturalness as something existing within “nature” outside of the influence of human existence but human existence and its creations also exist within the boundaries of that structure. Our most digital or virtual concepts are also arguably natural. To believe we exist or our creations exist outside of the boundaries of naturalness is seeing human action outside of the context of reality.

An ant makes an ant hill, a human builds a city.

On this album I will play with different ways humans understand or express naturalness. This can be in the deployment of sounds or groups of sounds we consider natural or by purposely presenting ideas that you might group into the artificial to make you consider why you might hold that perspective.

I also take into consideration our depictions of nature and our interactions with nature with direct references to art that reference nature or have been built into our landscapes. (Bianco’s Pomegranate and Turrell’s Keyhole).
